Zheng Dongguo: Almost Participated in All Major Battles on China's Anti-Japanese War Frontline

As a historical figure who almost participated in all major battles on China's anti-Japanese war frontline, Zheng Dongguo is an important part of history. His story is not just about victories or defeats but also about perseverance and dedication to his country.

Zheng Dongguo: A Life Dedicated to Serving His Country

Zheng was born into a peasant family with limited resources. Despite these challenges, he studied hard and became an outstanding student. He married early and had three children before joining the army at age 14.

His journey began when he joined the Yellow River Army under General Feng Yuxiang during the Northern Expedition against warlords. Afterward, he became a member of Chiang Kai-shek's National Revolutionary Army (NRA) during its campaign against Feng Yuxiang.

In 1931-1932, Zheng fought against Japanese forces at several key locations along China's northern border region after Japan launched its invasion following Japan’s withdrawal from Manchuria due to international pressure after signing The Lytton Commission Report that accused Japan for aggression.
